Claw angles on W braces are drawn and labeled with the bolts they are designed with, and the bolts into the brace flange can differ from the gusset bolts.
Untick Bolts into the brace flange are the same as the bolts above. Bolt shear, claw angle bearing, and brace flange bearing and block shear are then checked with each group's own bolts, and the claw angle length is built from both.
Also in this version:
- The holes in the brace leg follow the bolt in use, including oversized holes in the angles on the brace. Brace-leg block shear no longer uses the hole of a 3/4 in. default bolt
- Every standard, oversized, and slotted hole is sized from Table J3.3 / J3.3M. Under AISC 360-16 and 360-22, bolts over 7/8 in. get d + 1/8 in. standard holes and slot widths in every check. Some of those checks used d + 1/16 in. Metric M36 and M42 holes were one size off, and metric slots had their length and width exchanged
- For claw angles on W braces, each ply's holes follow its own oversized-hole box: angles on the brace, the brace flange, angles on the gusset, and the gusset. An oversized hole was d + 1/4 in. for every bolt size, and the gusset's oversized holes were checked as standard holes
- Block shear of the brace leg tears out to the angle's own end, not the bolt-to-brace-end distance. The angle size is chosen with each candidate's own required thickness. With different bolts on the two legs, tension rupture is checked at each leg's bolts, and the report names the governing leg
- The Whitmore section spreads from the bolts in the gusset, with the angles' end and the gusset edge distance
- Web splice plates on W braces: the plates, brace web, and gusset each use their own holes from the oversized-hole boxes. Gusset bearing at the splice bolts uses their spacing and the gusset edge distance, not the claw angle bolts'
- A W brace with Do Not Connect Web no longer lists splice plates in its description, and the claw angle bolt edge distance shown is the angle's own
- Clicking the bolts of a WT or angle brace at the gusset opens that brace's bolt
- Connection window tab titles are no longer cut off under the close button. The window widens to show them all
