A column splice can bolt the lower column on its own, so the upper shaft can use oversized holes while the lower column keeps standard holes.
Tick Lower Bolt under Splice Data and choose the lower column's bolt. Bolt shear, slip resistance, bearing, block shear, and edge distances are then checked with that column's own bolts and holes, and so is the net section of the splice plates at those bolts. The report lists each column's bolts.
Also in this version:
- Splice plates in the drawing are labeled with the splice material. The label had been the grade of an unrelated moment flange plate, and it stayed put when the splice material changed
- The lower column's bolts are drawn and labeled with that column's bolt. Double-click a lower bolt and that bolt opens
- With a separate lower bolt, each bolt keeps the oversized-hole and slotted-hole boxes of its own column. Plates on Bottom Column is read, and a ticked box uses that bolt's standard hole in the flange plate checks. Those checks had used 11/16 in. for every bolt size
- The drawing panel runs on an updated graphics engine (Unity 6.6). The drawings themselves are unchanged
