This update adds an Export to Nerv button (beta) that opens the design, its drawing and its calculations in Nerv.

This version also adds Skip This Version to the update prompt, and Other version... to install any available version, including an earlier one.

Also in this version:

  • PDF reports: with Front View on Top, the front view is sized first and is no longer shrunk by a tall view below it
  • Clip angle to girder or column web: support-side bolt bearing, bolt spacing and welds use the support's Fy and Fu
  • Single plate stabilizers: bending and notch tension use the stabilizer's Fy; notch bearing uses the lesser of stabilizer and plate Fy
  • Single plate stabilizer welds: ASD factor used in ASD; both welds counted for every type except Ia
  • Single plate combined axial, flexure and shear check: Fcr = Fy when KL/r <= 25
  • Beam web bolt bearing: coped single plate edge distance measured from the cope; uncoped beam top bolt uses its edge distance to the top of the beam
  • Double single plate: beam web bearing counted once
  • Angle brace end bolt bearing: one end bolt per gage line, times 2 for double angles
  • Welded brace to gusset: gusset strength at the brace welds uses the gusset's Fu
  • Gusset to beam weld: maximum useful weld uses the beam's Fu; a required weld above it is reported NG and thickens the gusset
  • Gusset to column web (out of plane): maximum useful weld uses the column's Fu and web thickness
  • Gusset to column: tensile yielding uses the gusset's gross area; U = 1 for every gusset-to-column connection
  • Gusset block shear at brace splice plates: net shear area deducts (n - 0.5) holes
  • Gusset buckling with load eccentricity: Whitmore width in the beam or column web uses that member's tw and Fy
  • Shear end plate on a gusset: useful weld size uses the gusset's Fu
  • Brace to column base: a saved clip angle or single plate gusset-to-column connection is changed to an available one instead of failing
  • Directly welded flanges and flange plates to column web: half-flange fillet welds sized for ASD as well as LRFD, over their own length
  • Directly welded flanges: Column Flange Shear at Welds is checked against the flange shear strength
  • Directly welded to HSS: Fy/Fu limit uses the HSS Fu; local yielding capped at Fyp * tp * Bp
  • Tee to HSS: sidewall crippling uses Fy in ASD
  • Seated connection in ASD: beam web yielding includes Ω = 1.50
  • Flange plates: a user-set bottom plate thickness is kept; tension yielding uses the final thickness
  • Column stiffeners: right side compression force taken from the right side
  • HSS brace splice plate: compression bearing strength is calculated
  • Calculation report: formulas and substituted values corrected throughout; forces split per angle, plate or flange are shown; bolt bearing shows ef = C / N
